Camp About Face provides children who were born with cleft lip or another craniofacial anomaly the chance to be themselves, make new friendships and build lasting skills that lead to a lifetime of success. Campers participate in challenging, fun and therapeutic recreational activities that are designed to boost confidence and teach self-reliance.

What campers experience:

  • Trained counselors acting as positive role models, mentoring campers to inspire them both personally and socially.
  • Let their guard down and be themselves.
  • Meet others who also have a cleft palate or craniofacial anomaly.

  • Nearly 35 campers, ages 8-18, attend Camp About Face every summer.
  • They engage in activities from horseback riding to camp-wide dance parties.
  • It costs roughly $375 for each camper to attend camp.
 
Every summer, Bradford Woods fills up with the life and laughter of campers who come from all backgrounds to celebrate and to see old friends and make new ones. Camp About Face is a camp dedicated to children with cleft lips and palates or other craniofacial anomalies.
